The Golden Tiger is a subspecies of tiger, belonging to the Felidae family. As such, it is a member of the genus Panthera, specifically Panthera tigris aurata. The scientific classification places the Golden Tiger within the order Carnivora, which comprises primarily meat-eating mammals.
